Early Period

Early Works and Archival Recordings

The works presented on this page belong to an early creative period around the turn of the millennium. Written for solo instruments, chamber groups, ensembles, or orchestra, they document a distinct stage in the composer’s artistic development. Some were performed and recorded; these documents preserve an aural record of that period.

After stepping away from composition for more than twenty years, Chañaral Ortega-Miranda has chosen to withdraw these works from his current catalogue, which now opens with a new symphonic project. They are therefore no longer presented as representative of his current work, nor are they available for new performances.

Their inclusion here reflects a commitment to archival preservation and transmission. They are retained neither as a continuation of that former catalogue nor as an attempt to erase it, but as an acknowledgement of a chapter that has now come to a close.
